Episode 6: Cold Ground

Sam and Bill both show up to comfort Sookie for the death of her grandmother. She tries to reach her brother to give him the fateful news but Jason is busy in a one-night stand with some maiden. Bill tries to comfort her, as does Sam but his efforts we’re not like Bill’s. At one point, the two secretly face off but Bill says that the time or the place for that was not right.

Neighbors stream in the next day trying to comfort Sookie with their thoughts pointing fingers at her for Gran’s death. This alone adds to her torment. Things get worse for her when Jason gets hold of the news and goes on blaming Sookie for their grandmother’s murder.

After the funeral, Sookie chooses to be alone and turns down Sam’s offer to have him accompany her. He goes to Tara instead and after a beer or two the two end up in bed together.

Jason starts feeling the withdrawals symptoms of the V.

In the night Bill heads over to Sookie’s house to play night guard after a dream warned him that Sookie might have been in danger. The emotion of her lost Gran leads her to running outside where she is swept off her bare feet by Bill and taken back inside. At this point Sookie was in a bad place and what leads is to her undressing and making love to Bill and exposing her neck for Bill to quench his thirst.
